This was the first series where assessments took place following the cancellation of exams in Summer 2021 and Teacher Assessed Grades. \r\nResults from this Autumn series will be issued to Providers on 16 March 2021, and can be shared with students on 17 March, and we’d like to provide some insight into what will be available relating to results, and how to access and interpret it. \r\nHow to access results \r\nResults will be available within our Portal for providers on 16 March, and guidance on how to log in, and how to access the results information can be found in our T Level Portal and Online Assessment User Guide. \r\nWithin the Portal, users can access two key documents to see and contextualise results; the Students Results Slip, and the Results Confirmation Report. \r\nWhat results mean, and options available once received \r\nThe Student Results Slip shows student achievement within each attempted assessment, showing raw marks and grade for each sub-component, and can be downloaded for each series attempted. This can be downloaded for all students who completed the Autumn series, and will show a raw mark, sub-component UMS, and sub-component grade. For the core exam it will show raw mark for each paper, and a total raw mark for the sub-component, sub-component UMS, and sub-component grade. \r\nThe Results Confirmation Report shows a breakdown of all students within a cohort who have completed both the ESP and the core exams, showing the sub-component UMS, overall UMS and overall grade for the core component as a whole, showing the highest achievement by sub-component from all attempts. This may be from the Summer 2021 TAGs, Autumn 2021 series, or a combination of the two. The highest available achievement for each sub-component will always be used to aggregate to a student’s overall Core component grade. \r\nTo help providers understand wider themes from student performance, after each series we publish a Chief Examiner Report, which provides the grade boundaries for each sub-component, as well as a narrative from the Chief Examiner on general student achievement, and any other noteworthy comments and suggestions to support providers in preparing students for future assessment series. \r\nFinally, on the date of results release we will also share the papers and mark schemes of the relevant series, to allow for review and use in preparation for future assessments. \r\nIf results received are outside of your reasonable expectations for a student, you can find our range of post-results services available on our website, allowing providers to request: \r\n\r\na clerical check (an administrative check of marks to ensure they were recorded and processed correctly) \r\na review of marking (a review by the Chief Examiner of the original examiner marking to ensure it was accurate) \r\naccess to scripts (to allow a provider to receive a copy of a marked student assessment paper). \r\n\r\nSummer Assessments \r\nIn Summer 2022 the first Occupational Specialism assessments for Wave 1 T Levels, introduced in 2020 will be sat, along with the first Core component assessments for Wave 2 and the second core series for wave 1. The dates for all summer series assessments can be found in our Key Dates Schedule, available on each T Level qualification page on our QualHub website. \r\nWithin the Key Dates Schedule, you will find all assessments for each T Level and specialism, each of which carry their own requirements for when and how to complete an assessment. These include set date and time assessments, such as the core exam papers, which are scheduled by NCFE for all students around the country to complete at the same date and time, or windowed assessments, which allow a provider to schedule assessments at times of their own choosing within a window determined by NCFE. \r\nThe invigilation requirements for each assessment can be found in our Qualification Specific Instructions for Delivery (QSID) document, which should be used as a reference tool to identify whether an assessment must be completed under invigilated conditions, or under supervised conditions. Further detail relating to the conditions and specific arrangements for each assessment can be found within the Tutor Guide, or Provider Guide, examples of which are available on the relevant qualification QualHub page. \r\nThose providers who have chosen to complete core exam papers paper-based, these are printed and dispatched physically by NCFE and must be completed as traditional paper-based exams. Students can complete these assessments using a word processor (see our Reasonable Adjustment policy and guidance for further details), but all complete scripts must be returned to NCFE by post. These core exams are also offered as on-screen assessments if preferred, which are completed using our online assessment platform. All other assessments, including ESP and Occupational Specialisms, are dispatched electronically, and must be returned electronically. However, where these assessments are dispatched electronically, providers can (where Tutor Guidance allows) choose to allow students to complete either electronically or print out to complete paper-based, although all student evidence must be digitised and returned to NCFE electronically following the assessment. \r\nUnder the delivery support section on the support guides page of our website you can find an assessment readiness checklist which providers can use to ensure they are prepared for any forthcoming T Level assessments. Providers with queries can also reference our Frequently Asked Questions document, found on our QualHub website, or contact us at [email protected]","searchableData":"In November and December 2021 students on the wave 1 Education and Childcare T Level completed the Autumn 2021 Core series.
