Reformed Functional Skills
Here you’ll find information and support for the reformed Functional Skills qualifications which are now available for registrations and assessments via the portal and online assessment system.
These new qualifications are ready for you to teach and deliver, using the huge range of draft support materials, including schemes of work, which you can find on each qualification page on QualHub (links below).* We’re continuing to add to this bank of support materials, and interactive learning resources will be available soon.
Assessments are now live for bookings. These can be booked through the portal for paper based assessments and through the online assessment system for online bookings. Please note when booking any paper based external assessment for any of these qualifications, the centre must determine a single set date and time within an assessment window for each component and subject level.

As a reminder, the start of the 2019-20 session marks the official changeover to the reformed qualifications. This means that no further registrations can be made on the legacy qualifications, and any learners registered on them have until 31 August 2020 to be awarded their qualifications, after which they will be withdrawn.
As there are changes to various processes in line with the government’s reform for these qualifications, we’ve created an FAQ guide to help you find out about these changes at a glance.
