Who is this qualification suitable for?

This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above.

About this qualification

This qualification is designed for learners who want an introduction to performance that includes a vocational and project-based element. The qualification will appeal to learners who wish to pursue a career in the performance sector or progress onto further study.

Please see the External Assessment Timetable for a breakdown of the assessment dates for this qualification.

The 2021-22 synoptic projects for our V Certs will be released earlier in the session, in line with adaptions published on our website and in this adaptation addendum. The synoptic projects will be available from 1st November 2021. Bookings will then remain open until the final submission deadline which is the 27th May 2022. EQA activity will then need to be carried out before 31st July 2022 to ensure results are confirmed for performance tables.

Set date and time assessments will go ahead in 2021/22, therefore moving away from results being based on Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) used in 2020 to 2021. Additional opportunities have been made available across the autumn, spring and summer exam series for some of our qualifications. Further information can be found in our external assessment timetable on our website.

Controlled and synoptic components will go ahead in 2021/22, therefore moving away from results being based on Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) used in 2020 to 2021. Adaptations to the content, controls and timescales will continue to be applied in the 2021/22 academic session. All relevant qualification content must still be delivered, and assessment criteria met.
