Overview
The apprenticeship standard provides the skills, knowledge, values and behaviours required of the Lead Adult Care Worker apprentice.
The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care qualification has been designed to align to the standard. The mandatory units cover core competencies whilst the optional units allow learners to choose from a variety of specialist areas to tailor the qualification to their needs, interests and to reflect the context of their work.
- Full or Part offer: This is at the centre’s discretion – the standard typically takes 12 months
- Guided Learning Hours and/or Min and Max: 399 (qualification only)
- Credit Value with Functional Skills: 68
Potential Job Roles
Learners can progress into employment in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings within job roles such as:
- Senior Care Support Worker
- Lead Personal Assistant.
